Recipe calorie calculator

Useful for homemade meals where one database entry rarely matches your actual ingredients and portions.

Enter ingredients consistently

Use the nutrition value from the package or a reliable database and pair it with the weight used in the recipe. Keep raw and cooked values consistent.

Oil, sauces, cheese, nuts and toppings are easy to overlook and can meaningfully change the result. Vegetables and spices can still be estimated pragmatically.

Divide the finished recipe

The calculator divides total calories by the number of servings. If portions differ, weighing the finished dish gives a more flexible result per gram.

For repeat recipes, save the ingredient list in your preferred tracking app and update only quantities that change.

Accuracy has limits

Package labels and food databases are allowed or expected to contain variation. Cooking changes water content, so calculated values are always estimates.

A consistent method is more useful than chasing a perfectly exact number.

Frequently asked questions

Should I enter raw or cooked weight?

Use whichever matches the nutrition value, and stay consistent for that ingredient.

What about oil left in the pan?

For a practical estimate, include the amount added unless you can reliably measure what remains.

Are recipes uploaded?

No. All calculations happen locally in the browser.
